Thursday, March 27, is the first day of a new photography adventure. I am now officially a full-time artist, supported by Arts Council DYCP funding. Over the next year, I will train in picture research and archival photography, as well as engage in various professional development activities.
I will work with existing images, cultural artefacts, and collections to reimagine and present them to new audiences. In the long term, I have a project idea regarding family heritage..
Huge thanks to @aceagrams for awarding me a Develop Your Creative Practice grant. I’m incredibly grateful for the support and belief in my work as I continue to develop my creative practice. This was my second attempt after an unsuccessful application last year. I was able to respond to feedback and write a proposal around some lifelong ambitions.
