Last night I was invited to do a talk at Brighton & Hove camera club, at Hove Methodist Church. I spoke about projects past present and future.
The venue relates to my heritage as the co-founder of Methodism is my 7th great uncle George Whitefield. As part of my Arts Council funding I will research and develop my family lineage, to find a link to the value of leaving descendants. I aim to create a funding proposal towards a much larger body of work in the future.
Ironically when I arrived, there were some photography books left outside the back of the church. One by Paul Strand, I opened the second one ‘Behind the Lens’ by David Suchet, on a random page. The first paragraph read.
"It has been a great pleasure for me to explore faith through my work…"
